| Syllabus | Obtain your Foundation of Arts and Music Education Syllabus to clearly understand the requirements of the exam levels. | All teachers require a Syllabus DOWNLOAD |
| Information to Parents | Consult parents about the Bronze, Silver or Gold level and ensure they have received a brochure. Set a tentative time frame (don't commit dates at this stage in case students are unable to complete the requirements) | Role of Teacher |
| Prepare Students (Private & Class) |
Commence teaching material required for the exam (see Syllabus). Remember to teach the Aural, Sight Reading and General Knowledge. This should be integrated into your lessons from the beginning and at the very least, one of these elements included on a weekly basis. |

| Entry Form | Obtain Entry forms complete and request payment from parents. Please note that parents need to sign entry form

| Entry | Make sure you have posted entry form prior to the designated closing date. Your school administration may attend to this for you. | School Admin & Teacher |
| Timetable | Exams will be held Monday to Friday during business hours. Timetables will be issued to teachers approximately 2-3 weeks before the exam. | Role of Teacher |
| Extra Lessons | Arrange extra lessons if you think your students will require them. You may also organise a mock assessment for your student. | Role of Teacher |
| Exam Day | Discuss with students and parents the format of the assessment day. If possible, attend assessment centre on the day to support your student. | Role of Teacher |
| Appraisal | Meet with parent and student to discuss the assessment report. Give successful students Certificate and Ribbon. | Role of Teacher |
| Set Goal | Set goals for improved future performance and discuss the requirements and time frame for the preparation of the next level. | Role of Teacher |
